Gardening Club.
Over the last few weeks year 5 gardening club have been busy designing and making a mini garden for the Newton Church summer fayre competition. The children decided on a butterfly mini garden, made out of the natural materials that we had in school. They used different coloured stones and sticks to make the shape of the butterfly and then transplanted the plants that they had grown in the planters to make their beautiful mini garden.
The following pictures show the beautiful mini butterfly garden.

The nursery children have also been busy making their mini garden too. They planted cress and turned it into a football pitch. They even picked a strawberry for the ball from our school garden. The children then placed little people in the cress for the football teams and coloured in pictures to decorate the box.
Great fun was had in making their creation; the following pictures show the finished mini football garden.
