School Absence.
If your child is absent from school, he/she will miss out on the learning opportunities prepared for them. It is therefore essential that absences are kept to a minimum.
If your child is ill, please inform the school on the first day of absence by telephoning 01656 815780.
In accordance with government documentation, if your child suffers from sickness or diarrhoea, they should not return to school until 48 hours have passed since the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea. This documentation also includes other recommended time frames for a child to be kept away from school according to the illness they have. Click here for more information.

Language and Play.
During our summer term as part of an induction into our nursery class and school, we provide an opportunity for the new nursery children and their parents to join us for one afternoon a week.
During these afternoon sessions, parents and children are able to experience language/ number and play skills through fun activities. Parents and children have the opportunity to get to know the nursery and members of staff. It is an ideal chance for the children and parents to make new friends, learn new songs in English and Welsh, play games, learn outdoors, cook and take part in art and crafts activities. There is even a ‘goodie bag’ for attending the 9 sessions. The sessions are designed to be fun and relaxing and to make you feel at home within your child’s school, we even have a party on the last session to celebrate the children’s achievements.
